Wish You Were Here is an abstract acrylic on canvas created in honour of my much-loved Swiss grandmother, herself an artist, whose legacy continues to shape my creative journey. The work draws deeply on memory and connection, evoking a sense of longing and presence through colour and form.

The palette is inspired by the Australian bush – rich earth tones, soft eucalyptus greens, ochres, and the shifting hues of sky and shadow – layered and blended to suggest the rhythms of nature and the emotional landscapes of memory. The abstraction leaves space for the viewer’s own reflections, while carrying an undercurrent of love, heritage, and belonging.
