Inspired by the lush tones of sandstone lining the Hawkesbury River north of Sydney where I grew up.

”Jessika Steiner was born in New Caledonia where she lived on her Swiss father's hand built yacht before settling on the Hawkesbury River north of Sydney. Growing up in a bush cottage with water-only access was fundamental in Jessika’s life experience as an artist.

 Jessika’s current practice in large scale acrylic and mixed media painting and sculpture using recycled and repurposed materials translates these childhood memories and nostalgia into colour and form.”
