Grevillea at Chilcott Road draws inspiration from the native foliage surrounding my small bush school in north-western Sydney, where the textures, colours, and rhythms of the Australian landscape became embedded in my earliest memories. Rather than depicting the scene literally, I use abstraction to capture fleeting impressions of tangled branches, dappled light, and the organic forms of grevillea leaves and flowers.
